This program gives qualified individuals the opportunity to come to Canada and establish themselves as self-employed in the province of Quebec.
What is a self-employed person
According to the regulation, a self-employed person is someone who comes to Quebec to create his or her own employment through the practice of a profession or commercial activities, whether alone or with other candidates for immigration without assistance or with paid assistance.
In addition to the minimum requirements that must be met, all applicants to this program are also required to meet the following requirements:
- To have the free choice of the means of execution of the work;
- Organize the work;
- Provide the required tools and equipment;
- Performing most specialized functions; and
- To collect the profits and assume the risks of loss from the work.
